AI tools reviewed by the job they do, not the demo they give
Most AI tool roundups are lists of logos. This section works the other way around. We start with a task a professional actually repeats, like a weekly report, a meeting recap or a cleanup job on a messy spreadsheet, and then ask which tool handles it without making new work.
When we haven't used a tool hands-on, we say so and stick to what the vendor documents. When pricing or privacy terms are unclear, we flag that instead of guessing.
The seven questions every review answers
- What job does this actually help with?
- How much setup is required?
- Where does human review remain necessary?
- What happens to uploaded data?
- Can results be exported?
- What can go wrong?
- Who should not use it?
Next on the list: a plain guide to getting started with AI tools, and the mistakes people make in their first month.
